Samuel was wondering if he’d be able to afford a chocolate bar. 

I’ve been saving his pocket money to buy a new pair of shoes, and he knew he shouldn’t waste his money, but dinner ….… for hours yet, and he ….… had any lunch. 

"It won’t make any difference, "he decided.  "i’ve almost got all of the money saved." 

He wandered towards the shops, but stopped suddenly when he saw a flash of green

paper.

“what's  a twenty dollar note," he thought excitedly.

“I’ll be able to buy my new pair of shoes today!"

Carefully he picked up the note, and added it to his wallet. Then he counted all of his money.

"Yep, I’ve got enough," he thought happily.

"Samuel, wait up," yelled a little boy, running towards him.

"Not again," thought Samuel. “Shouldn’t  he see that I’m busy?" 

It was Damon, the next-door neighbour's kid. He was only five, and he followed Samuel around everywhere. 

Samuel wouldn’t stop walking, but Damon caught up with him and grabbed his arm.

"Samuel, you have to help me," he begged. " I’ve lost the money grandma gave me for my birthday."

What’s that got to do with me?" asked Samuel.

Damon started crying.

"It blew down this street. I can’t find it anywhere.  I don’t know where to look."

Samuel realised that he had Damon's twenty dollar note.

“I shouldn’t give it back," he thought. " I’ve been saving for this new pair of shoes for months."

But as Damon kept crying, Samuel knew he won’t  keep the money.

You’re lucky, Damon," he said. 

"I’ve found it for you already." Pulling out his wallet, he smoothed out the twenty dollar note, and gave it to Damon. 

He wouldn’t get his new pair of shoes today after all.

"Wow, thanks," beamed Damon. "Hey, do you want a chocolate?"

Unbelievable school trip!

On a hot sunny day my class and I were on a school trip at the Great wall of China! Everyone was bunched together so no one got lost. My Family sent my brother (Kris) , Bella (our puppy) and I on the school trip. I could not enjoy the school trip because the sun was beating down on me. Everyone except me had a hat. I forgot to bring mine.

I felt really exhausted until… Woof! Woof! Bella started chasing a man that was behind us. Kris and I raced trying to catch Bella, and yes we did not put a leash on her. As soon as we caught Bella and calmed her down I regretted it straight away when I turned around. “ OUR CLASS IN GONE!” I screamed . Kris and I started to panic. We all looked around to try to spot the class… *Nothing* Kris looked at me and gave me a look saying ‘This is all your fault’ I replied “ Don’t blame me!”

Step by step Kris started walking backwards while I attached the leash onto Bella’s coller. Suddenly Kris fell off the Great wall of China! I quickly grabbed him thinking I was strong enough to pull the weight of a little dog and a tall and annoying brother. Nope, so instead I got pulled off the Great wall of China with them. I did a salute saying goodbye. Out of nowhere a mysterious black hole appeared. Kris, Bella and I fell straight into the black hole.

Unexpectedly we survived the fall but we were in a different place! We all got up and wiped the dust off ourselves. I looked around and said disappointingly “ Great now we are at the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, How worse can this day get!” oh no, I spoke too soon. All of a sudden the soldier statues came to life! Kris swiftly grabbed Bella’s leash and started to run. I screeched “Wait for me!”. I caught up with them and then we both attempted (including Bella) to run to safety. The angry soldiers pointed their sharp weapons at us.

Somehow we all got tangled up in Bella’s leash while running. Another black hole appeared out of nowhere. We were still tangled which made us trip and launch into the black hole. Once again we were at another place. Kris studied the area “ WE ARE INSIDE THE FORBIDDEN CITY!” He exclaimed, I said “That doesn't sound too bad?”, He replied “ LOOK AT THE TIME! IT IS CLOSED, WE ARE LOCKED INSIDE!” that doesn’t sound good. What’s even worse is that the soldiers used the portal to come here! “RUN!” I exclaimed. I quickly paused for a moment and started looking around. “What are you doing!?!” Kris Yelled, I replied nervously “ W-Wheres B-BELLA!”

Kris and I unpaused and continued to run away from the scary soldiers. “ I thought she was with YOU!” Kris howled. “ NO, I thought she was with YOU!” I shouted back *RRAHHHHHHHHHHHH* in the background we could hear raging men yelling. I yelled “ We have to leave NOW!” We both sprinted for the gates. “There’s the gates, I will help you get over!” I shouted to Kris. When we got close to the gates I put my hands out so Kris could step on and climb over the gates to safety.

As soon as he got over I was about to climb over the gate when I heard… little squeals! I turned around… BELLA! I had a hard decision to make. Do I save a tiny cute puppy that is in danger or do I climb over the gates to safety and watch the helpless little pup get crushed by a raging army of warriors! I said to myself ‘Why did you have to make the option of not saving Bella sound so dreadful?’ I darted towards Bella and picked her up and started running back to the gates. It felt like I was playing rugby and the other team was chasing after me trying to get the ball. It Felt like Bella was the ball and I needed to get her to the other side to safety.

I patted Bella on her head and said “Your ok know” Then I shouted to Kris “ GET READY TO CATCH BELLA!” I launched Bella into the air and over the gates. Kris jumped up and caught Bella. I shouted “ OK!, NOW HELP ME GET OVER THE GATES!” He replied “ NO WAY HELP YOURSELF I’M LEAVING! WITH BELLA, HAHAHA!” I was left in shock. I looked through the gates and saw Bella looking at me. I said to myself ‘That is it, I am never going to rely on my brother ever again’

I turned around and faced the army of soldiers hoping something would happen. In the meanwhile Kris was running away with Bella. All of a sudden Bella spotted one of the black holes on the floor. She jumped out of Kris’s hands and ran to the hole. Kris said “ Bella what are you doing!?!, Fine save yourself” He ran off. Bella grabbed the black hole in her mouth. She ran back towards me. She put the black hole down right where the gate was. She barked at me. I turned around and said “you came back for me!, Oh! You brought the black hole! Thx!”

I grabbed the black hole and faced it to the army of soldiers. “AHhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!” The soldiers yelled. *poof *poof* poof* The Soldiers were disappearing into the hole! Soon all of the Soldiers were gone. I held the portal and then Bella helped me climb over the gate to safety. I put the portal on the floor then we both looked at each other and closed our eyes. we jumped inside the portal. *poof* *poof* We opened our eyes. We were back with the class. The teacher was calling out names. “ Ronald” “Yes” “Julianna & Bella?” “Yes” “Woof!” “Class dismissed, you may go to your parents now!” We spotted our family and went towards them. They asked “How was the school?” I said “It was unbelievable” I looked at Bella and grinned...

Arcade!

 

On Sunday my Mum and Dad took Kris and I to an arcade place! I was so excited when I herd that me and Kris was going to go to an Arcade place. (Sorry I forgot what the name was for the place so now I am just calling it The Arcade place)

Once we got there I started jumping up in down with a huge smile on my face. We went inside and got some tokens. Tokens are these little coins you put into the machine to start the game. I went around and played a few games. There was this one game that I just couldn't win. It was one of those games where you had to press the button and hold then you had to let go once you think you have got a good angle on your prize. 

Then you press another button that will move the scissors to the line that is attached to the prize. If you hold the button too long then it will go to far forward. If you don't hold it long enough then it won't reach the line. I kept on getting really close but I always didn't go forward enough. Yeah I know it sound confusing.

There was one game that I loved because it gave me a lot of tickets. You have to hit a button then a ball will fall out of a tube then it will either go straight into one of the scoring holes or it will bounce around until it lands into one of the holes. Once Kris and I used up all of our tokens we went to the counter to count our tickets. I had 161! tickets and Kris had around 100.

I used my tickets to buy a cool and scary looking mask with a few chocolates. My experience there was amazing! I loved every single bit.

Life as a Giant Pacific octopus!

Kia ora! This is my writing task for today! I had to write about life as a Giant Pacific octopus! I hope you enjoy my writing! and feel free to comment on my blog!

I saw it in the corner of my eye. I swam as fast as I could, before it could escape I Grabbed it with my tentacles and shoved it into my mouth. I said “ Ahhhh... breakfast is served” *CHOMP!* *CHOMP!* “Yum!” I threw the crab shells outside with the others. It was my garden of crab shells.

After eating I went to look for another crab to eat. I looked around, searching for more food “ There! three crabs!” I exclaimed. I zoomed in excitement. I gripped on tight to the crabs and put them in my purse (Mouth). I went back home to eat again.

Once I got home I took the crabs out of my purse ( mouth) and ate them all at once… *Chomp!* *Crunch!* “Yuuum” I said happily with my mouth full of crab. I ended my meal with one huge gulp *GULP!* I took the crab shells and put it in my garden with the other shells.

Next I went to hunt for more food. I had to keep on growing so I could survive. A few hours later I couldn’t find any food and it was getting late so I headed back home. I paused for a moment. I could sense that something was following me. Suddenly a Sleeper shark came out of nowhere. I was scared and I felt threatened.
I quickly squirted a cloud of ink at the shark. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough ink to keep him distracted so I had to think fast. 

As soon as the shark looked up I camouflaged as quickly as I could with the environment. I was right under the shark. I was terrified that the shark would see me. The shark looked up right and left. Then it slowly looked down right at me. My hearts were beating so loud and fast. I was so nervous that the shark would hear them because I had three hearts. Luckily he could not hear them or see me.

The shark swam off to look for more food. I thought to myself “That was way too close I would've gotten killed!, Luckily I camouflage in time” I was so exhausted so I quickly headed back home. And that is the life of a Giant pacific octopus!

The chocolate drama - Fixed version!

Kia ora! This is a writing task I did with my teacher Mr Hughes! I had to pick a piece of writing then I got to put more detail in it. Mr Hughes told us (me and a few other students) 3 types writing things. I don't exactly remember so I might be wrong. 1 was a compound word, 2 was verbs and 3 was nouns. The Chocolate drama!

On a cold dark day I went outside exploring. I looked around a rainforest. I suddenly saw these weird and colourful fruits growing on the tree trunks. I examined it. I haven't seen anything like it. I pulled a few off and took it home. As I arrived home I placed the weird fruits on my table. I cut one open with my knife. I cuted it open and saw a sticky white bit, I cut that open. I saw these brown seeds laying inside.

I knew that you could do something special with the seeds. I got all the brown seeds then I made a pile of them and let it rot but not for too long. Before the seeds could spoil I put them in the sun to dry. Then I grinded it up into powder using a big stone. Next I made a drink with the powder. It was called.. Xocoatl! I changed the name to Chocolate!

I drank the chocolate drink.

“Mmmm that is delicious!” I said

I put away the powder and went to sleep. The next day I woke up really early because I was going to sell hot chocolates tomorrow. I went to get a lot of cacao fruits. Once I got all the powder ready it was night time so I went to sleep.

The next morning I got up and grabbed all of my stuff I needed to make some hot chocolate. I went to a place where lots of people sell stuff. Once I got there I got ready for customers. Lots came to me. They said they love my hot chocolate. Suddenly my powder started to move. It got bigger and bigger. It got sticker and sticker. Soon it became a… Chocolate monster! It was breaking the trees. Everyone was screaming.

An idea popped into my head. I got a net. Then I went somewhere high. I threw the heavy net onto the chocolate monster. Raaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! It yelled while getting pulled down by the net. It was stuck in the net so I called everybody to help me drag him and tie the net on a tree where the sun will reach him. He (Chocolate monster) started to melt fast. There was a little bunny statue that was under the net. Once the chocolate monster was all melted, the little bunny statue was covered in chocolate. As it was getting late the bunny statue covered in chocolate was already hard.

I examined it. I slowly pulled the chocolate off the statue. It made a chocolate bunny! From that day I sold chocolate bunnies and got lots of money!

As I was meditating on the beach I could hear the waves crashing into the sand, Seagulls yelling. My ears could hear things that no one else could. I could hear the little feet of an ant touching the floor step by step. I could feel things people couldn’t feel like, dust floating in the air.

I felt so relaxed until I heard loud steps behind me. I slowly grabbed my katana. I felt the warm breath of a person touching my neck... SWOOSH! I blocked the person's sword with mine before he could hit me. The person took his sword away so I could get up. I stood up and looked.

“Zorgo.. I wasn’t surprised to see you”

He said “ Ah yes, Samurai J *Evil laugh* long time no see”


I replied “ What do you want from me?”

He said “ I want to fight you, that's all *Evil laugh*”

I said “ Well then, lets fight”

We both took a few steps back. We charged at each other… SMASH, SWOOSH, POW! He swung his sword at me. I dodged it. I struck him with my katana BANG! I hit his armour but he was not damaged. He threw his sword at me OUCH! He cut me on the arm lucky it wasn’t big. I used my arm that was fine to strike at him. I went for his lower body, AHHHHH!!! He screamed and fell on the floor. I dropped my sword to go look at him. I realised that I hurt his leg and he could not walk.


I pulled out a few bandages that were in my pocket. I wrapped them on his leg.

He asked “ Why are you helping me?”

I replied “ Because it is the right thing to do, even though you are bad doesn't mean you could be good”

He smiled at me and I smiled back. I helped him up and took him to my house so he could rest. A while later when he healed. I started to teach him how to be kind and good. A few weeks later he was now a good person who always looked out for people. We both worked together and taught bad how to be good.

The moral of this story is... be kind and supportive to each other and take care of others!

Cruella de Vil

Cruella de Vil… she is such a bad lady. She is mean, horrible, cruel and unkind. EVEN IN HER NAME IT HAS THE WORD CRUEL! People who do like her don’t take this in the wrong way but she is just UGLY. Again sorry to the people who like her. Cruella kinda has a weird look. Her hair is black on one side and white on the other side, She is super skinny and pale. She is also always wearing the same thing, like does she take a shower!?!

I think she should go to jail for good and if you don’t agree with me then I will tell you all the bad things she has done. Her father taught her how to control dogs then one day her mother went to warn her dad that Cruella was going to kill him. When Cruella’s mother came back home Cruella killed her by ordering the dogs to attack her. When the dogs killed her mother Cruella killed the dogs and used their skin to make fur coats, LIKE HOW CRUEL IS THAT!!! She has also tried to steal 15 dalmatian puppies from a couple by hiring two men to go steal them.

She has also done a lot of other bad stuff. You are probably thinking “ Oh yeah! What about the good things she has done!” Well I am pretty sure she hasn’t done one single thing that was good. If you want to see her face to face then go...AND GET YOUR DOG STOLEN FROM YOU! (If you have a dog, cats… sorry, Cruella doesn't care about you).

My main message for today is that if you are going to meet Cruella face to face just get prepared for your dog to get stolen ( if you have a dog).

WANTED CRUELLA DE VIL

Me and Megatron!

You will never guess who I saw this afternoon! He was massive and bulky! He was also scary looking. Then I realised who it was. It was MEGATRON!! I knew who it was because my class and I learned about him yesterday! Such a coincidence! You will never believe what happened next. Let me tell you what happened…

On a nice breezy day I went outside to go and breathe the fresh air. I sat down on the light green grass. I had no shoes on so I could feel the grass tickling my feet. All of a sudden I heard loud stomps. The ground started to shake. I was scared so I got up then ran closer to the door. I ran back to my spot and just sat there. Then this huge shadow came upon me. I froze in fear. I could not believe what I saw. He was MASSIVE, and bulky. It was MEGATRON!! I softly said

“I-I-I- is that you Meg-Megatr-tron?”

He replied “Yes I am looking for something to do because I am soooooo bored”

I asked “Well then, would you like to play with me?”

He said “Of course! I’d love to!”

As we both scooted off together I asked him if he wanted to eat some ice cream with me.

He said “Sure!”

As we arrived at the ice cream truck I asked Megatron what is his favourite ice cream flavour.

He said “Chocolate!”

So I ordered one chocolate ice cream and one strawberry ice cream. I realised that I did not have any money on me so I asked the ice cream man if we could have it for free.

The Ice cream man said “NO!”

I was so sad and I started to walk off but then I heard Megatron shout

“No! You are going to give the ice creams over! OR ELSE I WILL HAVE TO END YOUUUUU….”

The Ice cream man said “ Ye-yes free-free Ice cream! Here you go”

He said as he handed the ice cream over to Megatron. Megatron then gave me my ice cream and from that moment we were besties forever...
