There are different types of light. It takes roughly 8 minutes and 20 seconds for the sunlight to reach the earth. In Extension we were lucky to be able to build and create our own UV Sensor with Ray. I took some readings and made a graph.
I am a Year 6 learner in Room 8 at Pt England School in Auckland, NZ. My teacher is Miss Parrant.

Term 4 Reflection and UV sensor build
This term we have been learning about UV Light. UV light stands for Ultra Violet light. It is the strongest type of light and it is really harmful for our skin. I found out that skin cancer is a type of cancer that can cause the most deaths in NZ. New Zealand has the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. This is because the ozone hole is right above NZ, part of Australia and a large part of the Pacific Ocean.
