The legend of Kai O Rahi

Last week Thursday we had kiwi sport. We played a game called Ki O Rahi. We played with three coaches named coach Peauty,Ellen and Liam. We had to get a partner and my partner was Angelica. I was a Ki o ma and Angelica was a Taniwha. If the coaches say Taniwha then the Taniwha run to the wall behind them.If your partner tags you then that means they won that round. Angelica won the first round And I won the second round.

Weetbix Tryathlon 2018

Yesterday morning  I had to woke up at 6:00am to go to the Weetbix Tryathlon. My brother and I felt nervous. We went to Pt England school to get my bike. I saw lots of people walking their bikes to the Tryathlon.

Next my family walked to the reserve. Then we went to a long line to register. Meanwhile I saw Hendrix and Haare with Marika. I yelled out “Hi”! Then Hendrix heard me and when he saw me he came over.

Then when we were about to put my bike with the other bikes we forgot to get our weetbix t shirts. I put my bike down with my Dad and then I went all the way back to a blue tent. When we got to a blue tent we got our t shirts. I was a bit shy because I had to take off my t shirt so I quickly took it off. After that we walked all the way back to my bike. I put my bike with the other bikes. 

Kris had to do the swimming and I have to bike then we both run.Kris went to line up with the other boys thats when Mum and I went to the people waiting on the grass.Then Kris ran to me to slap my hand.I went to get my bike I walked to the road.

I started peddling it was so long the people that done the biking we almost biked to Panmure. when I got back I was so tired. I put my bike back with the other bikes then I slapped Kris’s hand we both started running I was so tired.

When we got near the end Kris and I started sprinting We stepped over the line we both came as tie. I felt proud of my self we both got a medal. we were so happy. Then we saw our brothers and Parents cheering.  

How to play Ki O Rhai

Kia O Rahi is a game.What you need is a ball made out of flax.The team name are taniwha and Kiaoma. the skills that you need are you need to be strong and be fast at catching the ball and good aiming skills. Kia O Rahi is a good game because you have a good time and you run a lot and get fit.

Omaru Creek

Omaru creek has an awful stench because people are destroying our environment.

People are discarded rubbish and making Omaru creek look like a filthy soup.

We need to work as a team to restore nature to its best.Respecting outr environment

Makes a difference. Make a difference by working as a team to restore nature to its best.

Omaru creek is clean enough to swim in the pristine sparkling water.

Omaru creek has an abundance of animals. Omaru creek is pure tranquil beauty.

Activity 1: Popular Culture – The Silent Movie

Gold Rush: It was a movie that had a famous actor named Charlie Chaplin in it. Im not sure what this movie is about .I saw people at in the snow

The Lion's Cage

This is my favourite movie because it is funny. I saw Charlie Chaplin panicking and it was funny There was an lion in the cage sleeping  Charlie Chaplin tried to go into another cage but there was an tiger on the other side so he quickly took his head out then shut the little door then he accidentally bumped the box down and it fell off the shelf. Charlie Chaplin quickly caught it before it hit the ground and woke the tiger up.

Activity 2: Art Deco

I give this painting a rating of five stars. I like this painting because I like how it shines on the car. The shading is good too. I like how it looks real.

This Cathedral is found in Italy.They started to build it in 1386. It took more then five hundred years to build it.


Activity 2 - The right to vote

On your blog tell us what you think about the fact that women were not allowed to vote in Saudi Arabia until 2015. Is it fair? Why or why not?

I don't think it is fair that the women can't vote but the men can. I say the women should be allowed to vote too so they can be even.

Bonus Activity: In Flanders Fields

It was a nice poem but i'm not sure how it made me feel. And it reminds people about the soldiers who defended New Zealand. Their families would be sad but they will also be proud.

People live in the Wharepuni and people live in my house.
They both have windows, doors, a roof and walls.

The Wharepuni has maori statues and my house has none.
The Wharepuni has no electronics or Tvs and my house does.
