Once Cooper was old enough he got to start training to be in a hunting pack. He was 8 weeks old. Cooper had to train with 9 wolf cubs. He had to finish before them all. As they were training Cooper was struggling. The task was to get through a patch of wet mud next you have to jump over logs last push a boulder of rock to the finish line. Sadly every time Cooper came last but he would never give up.
One night Cooper woke up and heard the training coach say “Hmm I don’t know if Cooper can go and join the hunting pack if he keeps coming last”. Cooper felt heartbroken but that did not stop him from trying.
The next morning Cooper woke up and got ready to start training. Cooper was starving to come first. The coach said the countdown “3,2,1 go!” Cooper ran as fast as he could, he jumped and leaped through the air passing the mud. Next he quickly jumped over the logs. This time Cooper walked back “3,2,1” Cooper charged at the boulder of rock. He was pushing. it rolled through the finish line, he came first. The coach was impressed because Cooper was the smallest. He said to Cooper “you can join the pack little one you proved that you will never give up”.
The next day Cooper went to the hunting pack and joined them. An old wolf came out and said “good morning everyone are you ready to go hunting? Well you should be ok Come on, let's go!”. Cooper was looking around suddenly he spotted a wild rabbit. Cooper was bending down waiting for the right time to strike. Cooper jumped onto the rabbits back the rabbit was terrified. The rabbit was running and running Cooper started getting dizzy. The wolves looked at Cooper and yelling out “use your teeth to grab the rabbits neck then tighten your mouth!”. Cooper did what they said. *SNAP!* The rabbit was trapped then Cooper showed it to the wolves.
Suddenly the wolves heard a squeaky noise it was one of the newborn wolves. The wolves and Cooper followed the squeaking. They found the newborn but it was surrounded by tall metal fences. The wolves were worried because the metal bars are for a big bear named Scar he is very dangerous.
Cooper said “I’m going in I can fit through the bars” One of the wolves said “No it's far too dangerous!” but Cooper did not listen he went in and grabbed the newborn suddenly Scar came out and spotted Cooper. Cooper was getting chased by Scar. Cooper quickly hid in the long grass. Cooper then slid the newborn through the bars to the wolves.
The Wolves yelled “Cooper come back we need to hide!” but Cooper did not listen he went out of his hiding place and said to Scar “ come on show me your best shot!” Scar started growling. Cooper had a plan. He told one of the wolves to get a dead rabbit filled with poison berries.
Once they gave Cooper what he needed Cooper ran at Scar while he was growling and threw it in his mouth. The big bad bear ate the whole rabbit in 1 second. In a few minutes later Scar fainted Cooper was happy. But he did not notice Scar behind him Scar collapsed on Cooper.
The last sounds that the wolves heard from Cooper was his scream when he got squished by Scar.
