SLJ Breakfast

This is what people eat in Malaysia for breakfast.

This is what I eat for breakfast. I eat rice bubbles with milk and sugar and a cup of milo. some times I eat peanut butter on toast.

I prefer to eat my breakfast because it is tastier. I eat rice vegetables and meat for dinner.

  1. Hi Julianna,

I love the pictures that you have posted on your blog today! Like you, I typically eat cereal or toast for my breakfast. My favourite cereal to eat is Sultana Bran but I used to eat rice bubbles quite a bit when I was growing up in Canada. We didn't call them 'rice bubbles' though. We called them 'Rice Krispies.' Have you ever heard of Rice Krispies? They came in a bright blue box!

When you poured milk into a bowl of Rice Krispies, they also made a really funny noise (like a crack or a pop). Do rice bubbles make any noises when you add milk to them?

Thanks for sharing information about your breakfast with us! I liked learning more about what you eat and about what the people of Malaysia typically have for breakfast. I tend to save my rice, vegetables and meat for dinner as well!

Keep up the great blogging, Julianna :)

    Cheers,
    Rachel

  2. Hi Julianna!

Your answers make a lot of sense. I agree. Rice and meat for breakfast is a little strange for us. Did you know I lived in South Korea for 2.5 years? Over there I had breakfast the local way, so that meant rich, kimchi, and some egg. It was hard at first, but then I got used to it, and now sometimes I do it myself over here!

    Keep up the fantastic work!

  3. Hi Julianna,

That's really interesting. It looks like breakfast in Malaysia is very different to breakfast in New Zealand. Why do you think that is? Are there any other countries that eat breakfast like Malaysians?
