Summer Learning Journey - Activity 1

Hi my name is Julianna and I am 7 years old.
I want to visit Malaysia because I want to see sun bears and I love the beautiful city.

    Hi Julianna and welcome to the Summer Learning Journey!! I am so excited to see that you have joined us this year. That's awesome!

    I really like that you have chosen to visit Malaysia. It is a fascinating country. One of my close friends actually lived in Malaysia for a number of years and I had the chance to visit she and her family. I really enjoyed my trip. My favourite part of the trip was experiencing brand new foods and walking through the busy markets in downtown Kuala Lumpur (the capital city). You've posted a gorgeous picture of Kuala Lumpur in your blog. The lights are so pretty, aren't they?

    I hope that you will continue to blog with us this holiday. Both Mark and I will look forward to reading your posts and to commenting :)

    Kia ora Julianna,

    I'm Mark, a teacher working on the Summer Learning Journey with Rachel. May I just say that I think Malaysia is a great choice!

    The Sun Bears are so cute! I wonder how big they are in real life. I am really excited to see what else you learn about Malaysia because not many students have chosen it and I have never been there! So this is all quite exciting.

    Hi Julianna,

    I'm so pleased to see that you joined in with the Summer Learning Journey! You know how I was going to school last year and learning new things at university? Well, Rachel, who is commenting on your blog, is my teacher! Funny hey?!

    That is really interesting that you chose Malaysia. Did we read the book about the Sun Bears last year? I have never been to Malaysia but I have learnt about it by reading your blog.
